REGULARS - PRODUCTS HEATING UP STABILITY AND DURABILITY Thermowood Lunawood produces two standard thermal modification classes, LunaThermo-S and LunaThermo-D. The difference between the classes centres on differing heat treatment temperatures. LunaThermo-S, where S stands for stability, has an attractive shade of light brown and an improved stability. It is heat treated with milder temperatures (190°C). Products are suitable mainly for indoor applications, but can also be used in protected outdoor areas too. LunaThermo-D, where d stands for durability, has a darker brown tone. Its durability and stability are improved significantly. ACHIEVE BETTER RESULTS Wood-Mizer as there are many scenarios where a resaw can assist a sawmill to achieve better results, which is why it has launched its HR200 heavy-duty single head resaw. Sawmills using swingblade machines or chainsaws to square a log can save a lot of time and improve recovery by cutting the blocks or cants into boards with a resaw. The HR200 has a rubber conveyor belt, manual height adjustment and variable speed adjustment that can be set from 0 to 20m/min. It has a maximum material processing capacity of 300mm x 400mm.
