However, whether you use it for pergolas or for different types of outdoor furniture, maintaining the pieces are key to ensuring that they last. By Dineo Phoshoko P ergolas and garden furniture are some of the many ways you can decorate your home to enhance and bring out the best in an outdoor space. Timber is one of the various materials used for pergolas and garden furniture. It compliments any garden and can be used to design different pergola structures and garden furniture pieces. Pergolas are outdoor structures with columns to support the roof where climbing plants can be grown. Some pergolas are attached to part of the house, while others are standalone structures completely detached from the house. 32 JUNE / JULY 2017 // Pergola structures can be built in different shapes and forms to compliment any type of outdoor space. Outdoor furniture usually consists of tables, chairs and benches. There are no limits to the designs of outdoor furniture made from timber. As such, there many unconventional and creative outdoor furniture pieces made from timber. “We live in the age of information.
