Timber can be found throughout the design, evident in the reclaimed timber bar and wall cladding, custom-built steel screen adorned with over 100 wooden rolling pins, timber seating, wooden tables, decorative wine barrels and more. “Timber was one of the main materials that we used throughout the Piza ē Vino restaurant interior,” explains Aidan Hart, director of Inhouse Brand Architects. “Aiming to reduce costs during the design process and promote environmental sustainability, the client opted for reclaimed timber, the majority of which is repurposed pallet wood. Reclaimed timber was also used to reference the authentic nature of the Piza ē Vino brand and its menu offering.” // JUNE / JULY 2017 23
