niversal Plywoods is primarily a plywood specialist
group and has successfully ventured into the wood
engineering sector with products like Laminated
Veneer Lumber (LVL); UPM Grada thermoformable wood
panels; Delignit-made Beechwood plywood, which is
approved and used by Passenger Rail Agency of South
Africa (PRASA) and Bombardier high speed trains for train
floor panels; and WISA-BusFloor for the bus floor industries.
With various projects on the go, Universal Plywoods has
also partnered with Earthworld Architects to supply all the
LVL beams for the roof structure of the University of
Pretoria’s Future Africa Campus. They supplied large panels
of Birch plywood for the portal frame
