The venue is used for various purposes by citizens.
Seeing is believing
As the old proverb goes, the eyes are the windows of the soul, and
is certainly true when two creative designers were asked to create
a 'human experience space'.

T
urkish creative designers who make up Ofist –
Yasemin Arpac and Sabahattin Emir – designed a
custom shop space at the multipurpose venue, Eye-D.
Located in Instanbul (Turkey’s economic, cultural and
historic centre) Eye-D is not just an optical shop, it is a
blogger spot, a meeting point, an art gallery, a coffee shop
and a music venue.
Considering that your face is the first and most visible
part of your body, eye glasses have a distinctive role in

identifying your character and personalising your look. So,
Eye-D suggested a custom interior design to speak to what
the shop truly is.
Creating a custom shopping space, the design solution
that Ofist originated couldn't be conventional. It was
required to be an extraordinary, alternative, eye catching,
funky, distinctive, current yet fashionable environment
which allows unique experiences for users. Ofist’s challenge
was to create this in the middle of the chaotic city.
