BLOCH IN SOUTH AFRICA
BLOCH was invited by George Kuratle to the annual Wood Conference in Cape Town at the end of February 2017 . In the form of a talk and workshop the project and its journey will be presented to the audience .
After the conference BLOCH continued touring through several South African cities and cultural institutions , providing a series of events , performances , exhibitions , talks , workshops and screenings . In these months , BLOCH will collaborate with a number of local artists , cultural producers and institutions and create a
diversity of forms of artistic and cultural production .
The outcomes and initiatives will be presented first in South Africa and then later travel with BLOCH to the next stations ( Middle East , South America , Australia ) and will become part of the ‘ BLOCH Archive ’ which has its final presentation in 2020 / 21 in Switzerland ( as an exhibition , festival and documentary ). There will be a South Africa chapter of the video documentary covering all events that happen in South Africa . Additionally , the South Africa Station will also be featured in the BLOCH publication coming out in September this year .
