To meet our aim of providing the best timber in any particular grade , at a fair price , with the best possible service , requires that we source our timber from suppliers all around the world that understand our needs and our South African customer ’ s requirements .
By staying true to this philosophy , our customers instinctively know that the wood they receive represents the best value they can buy . We scrutinise all potential suppliers and choose only the best in each of the regions , which covers Malaysia ( meranti ), West Africa ( iroko , sapele , wenge and afrormosia ), Brazil ( garapa , massaranduba and ipe ), Europe ( beech and oak ) and the USA ( oak , ash and walnut ).
The latest addition to our supplier mix is Thermory from whom we source the full range of outdoor timbers . These innovative Estonians have re-imagined the way architects and consumers the world over view the use of timber exposed to the elements . They export to more than 50 countries and this trend is now sweeping South Africa .
Conscious of the dangers of exploiting the hardwoods from tropical rainforests , Thermory offers great alternatives that are ( in every way ) superior to timbers traditionally used outdoors .
