Antonella Salvucci has always been fascinated by the power of New York. The city has something really emotional, a kind of magic in the air that improves all your senses. Antonella was lucky to have the chance to shoot a short film with her American friends in New York City, different languages and different cultures melting together, a way to grow up as an actress and as a human being. Her role was a femme fatale, with a strong and determined personality, who hires a guy to kill her husband but pretty soon she repents about her bad choice and she shows off her fragile side. It is a complex role with rich shades.

She was also guest at Sirius Radio Live at Rockefeller Center, hosted by the great David Webb, where she had the opportunity to talk about her career and the many aspects of cinema, especially the difference among Europe, Italy and America. She brought with her on air a producer friend from Los Angeles, Don Maxwell and the handsome Italian actor Alessandro Parrello (who just founded a new New York magazine West 46th magazine), since they are more experienced in business and film production.

Then on to a wonderful photoshoot in the heart of New York City. Of her photographer, she said “I was lucky in meeting the young and talented photographer Raul Egusquiza. We connected immediately like we have known each other from a previous life and our photo shoot is a proof of that! I felt so natural and energized in front of his camera and he was so smart in taking every changing expression from my face and my body.

At the beginning we thought of doing an urban style of shooting in order to discover the beauty of some hidden corner of New York, but thanks to a good friend Joshua Shenkle, we've got a famous building called The Corner (200west 72nd street), located very close to where John Lennon was shot, so sad...”

Antonella continued, “The roof of The Corner was our main location, then a strong wind started blowing which helped in making skillful shots and in continuous movement to enhance my flowing hair. We took some shots also indoors where I felt free to express my sensuality in lingerie but I also had the ability to surprise the Raul, the photographer when, all of a sudden, I took off my coat in front of The Lincoln Center. We had an epic photoshoot, historical and eternal. After all these emotions I still have my eyes shining thinking back to all the beautiful things that I’ve seen and from now on I can admit that New York City gave me good vibrations!”
