The first and most popular room is known is the Red Hall or Sala Rossa. Once the luxurious bedroom of Cosimo de Medici for its sumptuous red furniture, drapes and ornaments typical of Renaissance décor. Nowadays the Red Hall is the main hall for civil weddings. The hall can hold up to 80 guests with only 30 chairs available.

The second hall where weddings are celebrated inside of Palazzo Vecchio is the room dedicated to Lorenzo deʼ Medici, also knows as Lorenzo the Magnificent. This small room is the perfect location for a small civil wedding with a maximum of 20 guests or less. It is fully decorated with frescoes of famous painters like Giorgio Vasari. This small hall can hold up to 30 guests standing.

Last and most important of all is the “500 Hall” or “Salone del 500” in Italian. This is one of the biggest halls in Italy. It was built in 1494 to be a place to gather the greater consilium, or council, composed of 500 members.
