Getting Married in the Renaissance City of

Florence

When it comes to choosing the perfect venue for getting married the options are endless. Deciding which venue is “the one” for tying the knot is not easy. The right location for the perfect wedding should reflect the personality of the bride and groom and for all those hopeless romantics wishing to marry in the old continent, the city of Florence in Tuscany, the Renaissance capital of the world, is one of the best choices. The most requested venue in Florence is “Palazzo Vecchio” meaning “old palace”. The Palazzo Vecchio is the City Town Hall of Florence and is where civil weddings take place. This impressive romanesque crenellated fortress-palace is among the most significant places in Italy.

It overlooks the Signoria Square with its copy of Michelangeloʼs David statue and the Loggia dei Lanzi with several original statues from the XVI Century. The entire building and its square is considered an open space museum and civil weddings take place in three different rooms of the building.
