Matrons of honor were Alkenie Bailey (West Point, MS) & Natonya Murray (Biloxi, MS) both best friends of the bride, Bridesmaids were Amber Bland (New York, NY), Jameeka Bland (Durham, NC), Leah Gibson (Starkville, MS), nieces of the bride, Ariel Johnson (Houston, TX), friend of the bride, and Jennie Mason (Macon, MS), cousin of the bride. Flower girls were Madison Greathree (Jackson,MS) great niece of the groom & ReeAnna Lewis (Macon, MS) cousin of the bride.

Coordinator was Tamara Gibson (Starkville, MS), sister of the bride, and hostesses were Linda Grissom (Macon, MS), sister of the groom, Robin Mason (Macon, MS), Kierra Mays (Snellville, GA), DeKeia Mays (Snellville, GA) all cousins of the bride, Katina Fears (Houston, MS) & Jeanette Hughes (Macon, MS), friends of the bride.

Best men were Robert Greathree (Macon, MS) brother of groom & Roman Grassaree (Macon, MS) son of the groom, Groomsmen were Nathaniel Greathree (Jackson, MS), Kennedy Greathree (Columbus, MS), Rodney Greathree (Blythewood, SC), Davis Wells (Birmingham, AL) brothers of the groom, and Robert Greathree, Jr. (Macon, MS), nephew of the groom. Ringbearer was Kelvin Bryce Gibson, Jr. (Starkville, MS), nephew of the bride.

Ushers were Darien Bland (Southhaven, MS), nephew of the bride, and James Mason, III (Macon, MS), cousin of the bride and groom. Bride’s escorts were Robert L. Bland, Jr. and Arael Bland (Tuscaloosa, AL), brothers of the bride.

I entered the sanctuary with my two brothers on each side. It was a day that every girl dreams of. I envisioned it to be simple and elegant, and I can honestly say it was. Walking in on the red carpet and the scent of fresh roses peeping at me was all I ever wanted. I thought I would pass out when I saw the crowd who had come to share our special moment. When we looked into each other’s eyes, we knew we were perfect for each other. After we kissed and became one, we gathered outside at the front of the church to release two doves to represent our union.

Upon arrival to the reception, the entire wedding party had a mini party in the limousine. It was our way of preparing ourselves for the grand entrance as we danced down the aisle when we were introduced. Terry and I along with the entire wedding party and several family and friends surprised the guests with a flash mob to Pharrell’s “Happy” song. Love was definitely in the air. From young to old, the dance floor was packed. We were creating memories that we will forever cherish. While our guest enjoyed the food, we snuck off to change for our second debut as Mr. & Mrs. Grassaree. We had the best time of our lives. And to think, this is just the beginning...
