My first wedding in France was in 2003. It was for my cousin’s best friend from the UK. He flew 20 guests over to stay at a beautiful chateau nearby. On the day of the wedding, this is when the fun started. The bride’s father didn’t want the wedding to go ahead, didn’t like the groom, which made it a bit awkward for me, as the bride said she didn’t want her father on the top table. So after discussing the situation with the bride that, just for the meal, we could place her father at the end of the table, she agreed and the service and reception went forward. However, her father decided to change into his carpet slippers and jeans to join the reception in the ballroom. The groom was mad and sent him to his bedroom, where he had his meal served in his room...alone. Later, for attention, he decided to join the reception, then feigned a heart attack. I immediately telephoned for the ambulance, which arrived with the local doctor, to announce that it was just a slight panic attack and not a heart attack.. While all this commotion was happening, the band continued playing like true professionals. The bride decided to remove her father from the chateau and place him in a local hotel for a couple of days until they flew back to the UK. The main party flew first class, and her father was relegated to the rear of the plane. To this day, the bride and father have still not spoken. The actual wedding was a great success.

Apart from this first wedding, all of the other weddings over the years have been very successful, and I am still in contact with many of our past wedding couples. I have arranged and planned weddings for couples from the USA, Canada, Taiwan, Norway, and England,

I am passionate in what I do, and organising and planning weddings down to the last detail is very important to me. It took a long time to find the right team to work with me on these occasions to ensure that every couple’s wedding day was the most special day that they could wish for -- Their Dream Wedding. From working with them on their initial inquiry, arranging collection from the airport, to organising the caterers, flowers, marquees, music, wedding favours (special half bottles of Bordeaux Rouge), photographer, and fabulous firework displays, all part of the wedding service we offer. In the case of weddings from the USA, Canada, and Taiwan, the couples never actually see the chateau venue until they arrive.

Plans are discussed by phone and by e-mail in the months leading up to the arrival of the couple and their immediate family, who would be staying at the chateau.

When I get the WOW ! on arrival plus the tears of happiness from the bride and her Mum, I know that I have done my best and that I have given them their dream wedding.
