DARI ARTIST

Daring to Live

Born in South Africa in the mid-1950's, Dari relocated to the USA seven years ago after receiving an 0-1 visa (unusual talent visa) and is proud to call herself an American citizen since October 2014. Dari is primarily a civil rights artist. The proceeds of her civil rights work go entirely to fund college scholarships, especially for young women, through the MLK committee. In order to fund her studio, Dari paints horses and wildlife, both realistically and figuratively, as well as gender-related stone and bronze sculptures. She will have the honor of having her 13.7-ton granite monument -- commissioned by the MLK committee and City of Coral Springs -- unveiled on MLK day in January 2016. Dari exhibits her work internationally on a regular basis.
