My name is Tuesday Ethridge, and I’m owner and photographer of Classic Photography in Shannon, Mississippi. I have been in business for thirteen years and put in a lot of sweat and tears through the journey. You don't just decide to become a photographer and buy a camera and take a few pictures. It’s nothing that happens overnight or sometimes even over years. Photography chooses you and is something that has to be instilled in you from a very young age. I always felt it but didn't embrace it until later in life. A lot of passion and a lot of determination is only the beginning of this whirlwind of a life.

Recently, I had the privilege to shoot at the exclusive Summit neighborhood in Tupelo, Mississippi. Homeowner Cristina Green gave us a tour through the 4-story, 15,400 square-foot home. The upscale property comes complete with a theater room, gym, and a sauna.

My model today is Hope Russell, a 20-year-old from a small town just south of Tupelo called Shannon. Don't let this small-town girl fool you. She loves fishing and hunting sure enough, but she is also a master makeup artist at MAC counter cosmetics in Tupelo where she is currently employed. Her makeup this day reveals all of the line of MAC products.

I was also honored that David's Bridal was so generous to loan some exclusive gowns for our shoot. Hope wore the DB Studio Collection Jersey Sheath Dress with Illusion Waist and Back, along with Mikado Crop Top with Organza Ball Gown Skirt Galina Signature Collection and Cap Sleeve Lace Crop Top and Skirt, also Galina Collection, exclusively at David’s Bridal.

All photographers have visions of something they want to create and share with others. My vision on this shoot was to show elegance, glamour, and beauty all wrapped in one, and it worked so beautifully. I specialize in outdoor photography and love what natural light can do on either a bright or cloudy day. Anything worth having won’t ever come easily, so it is important to work hard on your vision and find your passion along the way.

Every photographer's dream…the house, the girl, the gown!
