2015
It is the last day of the year and I look back to see
How wonderful and memorable 2014 was to me
And as I step ahead into a whole new beginning
With a big smile and open arms I welcome 2015
The Christmas tree by my window holds a pair of white doves
And somewhere under the skies a couple is falling in love
I am sipping a hot cocoa while I admire the bright white snow
And someone is getting engaged; oh I can imagine the pair glow.
Tucked in a warm blanket I close my eyes and think
A duo is planning their wedding; soon together they will be linked
There will be many birthdays to rejoice, so many more to plan
And I will sincerely extend a helping hand and assist as much as I can
A ton of parties, celebrations and festivities will come along the way
I am excited to make someone smile and to make someone’s day
Of the many experiences of 2014, I recall all the happiness and fun
And pray that in 2015 there will be many more to come
If only I can make a bride & groom beam with joy
If only I can bring a smile to the face of a little girl or boy
If only through my profession I can spread some love to the crowd
At the end of 2015 I will feel the same as today, I will be so proud

A software engineer turned event planner, I have completed an event planning course with Schoolcraft College and currently studying Professional Development Program for event planners with ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants). I work as an event coordinator with Hemsu Decorations and as an intern with It's Your Day. I also have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Pencil sketching, mixed media art, writing, dancing and spending time with loved ones are my favorite things in the world.
