eeling home is what the Bay House is all about, and why not? It was a residence from when it was built in 1951 until it was converted into a venue in 2011. As a matter of fact, the Bay House has always been in the family for General Manager Erin Shoults. The Bay House, located in Destin, Florida, was where Erin’s grandmother lived for all those years. These memories may also account for her desire to recreate those memories for her guests. A self-professed go-getter, Erin loves to work with brides and their families and help make their day a special one of a kind event. The location seems to make that easy for her. Bay House sports its own private beach and privacy is a concept that permeates the venue. It definitely gives off a sense of privacy with its lush vegetation, cottage house, private drive, and the main house set back into the property. It is a place of wonder, and joy--the kind of feeling and comfort that one expects from home. It also gives off a sense of history, the sense of history that was old Destin, the familiar laid-back Florida that many of the old-time residents remember and love.
