What do you plan to do for your first anniversary?

We hope to be able to take a trip to Ghana.

What has changed most about the relationship from being engaged to being husband and wife?

Roger and Erica: We seem to communicate more than before. We want to make sure that we don’t lack in that area at all.

Where do you see yourselves in 5 years?

Roger and Erica: In 5 years, we see ourselves in a constant state of growth and love. Nurturing our family in positivity and both surpassing our personal goals in our creative arenas.

What did you do for your 10-year anniversary?

Trey and Yvonne: For our 10yr Anniversary we went to Las Vegas… We had an awesome time!

Describe the moment when you truly realized you were husband and wife

Yvonne: It was after we got back from our honeymoon & started living together for the 1st time…lol..I had to learn his living habits & he had to learn mine.

What is the first thing you think when you see your spouse for the first time for the day?

Trey and Yvonne: When we see each other for the 1st time for the day it can be a struggle depending on what kind of night it was & if the kids drove us crazy…lol…just kidding! We always feel so blessed that God placed us in each other lives.

Statistics say that 20% of marriages end in divorce within the first 5 years. What do you think makes your marriage last?

Yvonne: I think “willing to work” is what makes our marriage work because marriage is a lot work. It’s not always easy but it sure can be successful if you’re both willing to work together & don’t be so quick to give up/throw in the towel.

Yvonne: dedicated & courageous

Where do you see yourselves in 10 years?

Trey and Yvonne: In 10 yrs we can see ourselves stronger & wiser. We can see all the values that we’ve instilled in our marriage, family & children.

What is your relationship mantra? (any special motto or slogan you guys have with each other)

Trey and Yvonne: When it come to relationship/marriage our mantra/motto is “Keep prayer in it & people out of it”.
