Chef Lynnie does more than just prepare and serve the food. He genuinely loves people and likes to visit with them, learn their names, and treat them like family, sharing his experience of “famiglia” he learned so long ago in his mother’s kitchen.

“Americans are just now learning what the French and Italians have always known, that dinner is not something you do in the evening before you do something else, dinner is the evening.” he smiles. His eyes are misting up again as the passion flows out of him. “Dinner is everything.”

Today, Chef Lynnie is based in Natchez, Mississippi and oversees the kitchens of The Grand Hotel as well as the Convention Center for the City of Natchez. He travels extensively and cooks for the likes of European ambassadors, presidents and other dignitaries. Even with his many television and radio appearances and book tours, the rock star is still down to earth and loves entertaining his ever-growing family of guests.
