cotland is well known worldwide for enjoying a good time and the Scottish-Italian community play a vital part in the Scottish Hospitality Industry, so it is only right that we reward the very best Scottish/Italian owned businesses in the country.

This year on October 26th at the Thistle Hotel, the Scottish Italian Awards, an annual event, showcased the fantastic range and quality of the country’s Scottish/Italian owned businesses. The awards recognised a variety of categories including best restaurant, best independent multiple operator and many more. Voting was open to the general public ensuring that these awards reflected Scotland’s favourite Italian places to go and have a good time.

Last year over 630 Italian Business owners came together to celebrate the achievements of their fellow guests at the Hilton Glasgow. The evening was very special, celebrating great Italian food, wine and entertainment. This year’s event was bigger and better than the previous year with the final taking place at The Thistle Hotel in Glasgow in front of 750 guests. Special guests included world renowned Chef Aldo Zilli who also auctioned his expertise as a prize to cook at someone's house. Eleganza Sposa, one of last year’s winner's hosted a beautiful catwalk event showcasing some of their beautiful dresses, Scottish Sun Miss Scotland 2014, Ellie McKeating, being one of the models. Plenty of money was raised for Enable Scotland which is a charity dealing with children who have learning difficulties.
