On the grounds of the property there is a lovely 15m x 7m heated swimming pool. The property opens in April each year, and pool temperature is maintained at 28C for your holiday, with a poolside terrace (perfect for alfresco dining), an 8-person hot tub installed in 2013, BBQ & outdoor fully equipped summer kitchen, a brand new tennis court was installed in June 2013, children’s swing-set and slide, table tennis, volleyball, badminton and even a giant sand pit. The extensive gardens and terraces are perfect for outdoor entertaining, and there is plenty of space for parking.
The property has a choice of nine individually designed bedrooms, including a two-bedroom master suite, and all bedrooms are thoughtfully decorated with contemporary décor and furniture. Each of the rooms vary in character but all are of a generous size and offer the luxury of eight modern en-suite bathrooms (one with a sauna, one with a Jacuzzi), LCD TV / DVD, hairdryers, fluffy bathrobes, L’Occitane toiletries, fresh flowers, and lovely garden views. Some of the rooms have four-poster beds, marble fireplaces, balconies, and two of the rooms share a large terrace overlooking the garden. There is a grand reception lounge and hall, spacious dining room, snooker/pool table, and anterooms with high ceilings, original parquet floors, and an impressive oak staircase. Wireless internet access is available in the property and also on the poolside terraces.
The property is only 2 minutes from beautiful freshwater lakes, 10 minutes / 8km from wonderful ocean beaches, several golf courses, including three of world-class standard (voted in the Worlds Top 50 golf courses) are within 15 minutes, 20 minutes from the spa town of Dax, famous for its Hydrotherapy, 30 minutes from Biarritz and Bayonne with their superb shops, and just 40 minutes from the Pyrenees and Spain.
