Hear about Black Woodstock, Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix, the Black Panther Party, and the dramatic events that left Harlem stigmatised as a place ravaged by crime and a darkly vengeful drug problem. Harlem 69 brings Stuart’s epic sixties trilogy to a dramatic conclusion, and takes a forwards look at jazz funk, disco and hip hop – the music yet to come.
