EVENTS few places to pull over along War Eagle Creek, mostly unpaved for some creek side pictures. Wind your way southward through St. Paul till you reach the intersection of Rt 16 and Rt 23. When you bear left on 23 you will be on the Pig Trail Scenic Byway proper. This is where the ride gets spectacular! Curves, steep grades, floorboard scraping switchbacks, everything a rider could want in a road, you’ll find it on this one! About 8 miles in, keep your eyes peeled for another scenic overlook on your left. This is one of the most popular photo spots in NWA. Great views of the valleys and ridges to the south and east. After your pictures, hop back on the bikes and head south a bit till you reach the junction with Rt 215. Take a left and head towards Ozark, AR along one of the prettiest stretches of valley riding in the Ozarks. The road snakes its way along the Mulberry River with a slew of turns and an abundance of fantastic scenery. There are numerous places to pull over for pictures along the way. Then head into Ozark for a bite to eat at the Ozark General Store and Cafe. This is the oldest continually operating general store in Arkansas and has been in business since 1890, one hundred and twenty-four years. The food is excellent and the pies are world famous! To get back to the party in Fayetteville, just retrace the route in reverse. The views are equally awesome in both directions. When you get to the Rt23/Rt16 intersection make a left on Rt 16 west and that will take you all the way back to Fayetteville along another scenic valley road. These are only two of the great routes there are to be explored here in NWA while you are visiting. Pick up a copy of the Bikes Blues and BBQ Rally Guide while you’re at Pig Trail HD for a complete list of all the gorgeous roads that are here to experience!
