BAD ASS BULLETS
FEATURES
Tell us how Bad Ass Bullets came
about?
A veteran friend of mine
had tried to mount bullet
casings over the screws
on his Harley engine, but
it didn’t work too well. Over last winter, owning a
machine shop, I came up with a fool proof system for
doing this. Our goal was a mounting system that was
simple to install and easy to remove when servicing
the engine. We went through many designs until we
hit the nail on the head.
shop. This sleeve slides
over the head of the
socket screw and then
the bullet casing slides
over the sleeve and
screw head. The bullet
casing slides on about ¾ of the way, and then it’s
tapped with a plastic hammer until it’s locked on
over the screw. They lock on quite well so they can’t
be pulled off by hand, yet don’t fall off. They are
removable using rubber tipped pliers (to protect the
casings) and then can be reinstalled. We’ve tested
these repeatedly, and they work well multiple times.
