Letter from The Editor Letter From The Editor Hello my magnificent motorcycle riding maniacs! Fall is upon us and our hoodies and leathers feel more comfortable with every mile. Some of us are big fans of Fall riding, the cooler temps help our bikes labor less, our bike events decrease and our fever to ride increases. However, make sure you are continuing to hydrate, layer up to stay warm and always carry rain gear at this time of year. You never know when a rain storm will pop up on you. That combined with dropping temps can make for a miserable ride if not armed with gear to keep you dry. Who all is making it to the HOG Rally October 5-7 in Ardmore, OK? This is a great way to see this part of Oklahoma as their will be guided as well as mapped tours and plenty of people to ride with who know the area or are not afraid to venture out. This area contains some great riding including the Arbuckle Mountain, Lake Murray, Tucker Tower, Turner Falls and more. October 14, I will be leading another fun-loving group slowly across the Talimena Scenic Byway. Join me for a day of riding with a group of people that are there to see the sights, meet riding friends, play some games, eat some food and enjoy being motorcyclists. This year, we get to begin in Talihina as we have each year. We will drop off the mountain to End of Trail Saloon for Lunch and then return on the journey to the end of the scenic mountain in Mena. From there we will be going to the coolest bike shop around, Chuck’s Cycle for a party with a food truck, band and movie if we are all still up for it. The Cost? FREE. I just want you to enjoy yourselves. We will have a 50/50 as well as a dice game that is optional as well. See the ad this issue for details. Read all about a very cool opportunity that I took in September. It was called a VACATION! I took a riding vacation to the Smoky Mountains and had the time of my life. The story is included in this issue with a few details about my fun ride on The Dragon! Be Safe! Love your Neighbor and don’t forget Riding is a Freedom we cannot afford to lose!
