communications; veterans issues
for motorcyclists; women rider
safety and more. “T” Collier,
editor of Thunder Roads Magazine
OK/AR spoke on Working with
the Media. The seminars were
followed by a banquet and auction
to raise funds for the next MidSouth MILE which will be hosted
by Texas in 2015.
Out of this year’s seminar,
several important things were
taken home. But the most
frequently discussed problem was
that there is a real need in more
motorcyclists getting involved
in their state’s freedom fighter
organizations such as the Freedom
Fighters and ABATE. Please
look for an organization near you.
Become a member and stay aware
of what you may be able to do
to help steer legislators in
the right decision on what
rights you need to keep as
a motorcyclist. If you don’t,
we don’t want to hear your
belly aching when you have
to wear a helmet to ride;
can’t modify your exhaust
or your insurance rates sky
rocket due to a bill being
passed you didn’t know
about. Stay informed and
involved so we all win!
