RIDING ON FAITH

A little older and much wiser and according to God’s
Word, I have a clearer understanding of what and why I was
taken into captivity,. WHAT? 1 Peter 5:-8 “Be sober, be
vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, like a roaring lion
walks about, seeking whom he may devour.” WHY? 1
Corinthians 13:11 “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I
understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became
a man, I put away childish things.” In my encounter with
eternity, I became a man.”
The highway that stretched out before me began its
slow decline. My destination target was an estimated 12
miles. It had been an eventful, yet tiring day and I was ready
for the road to end.
As I watched the last ribbon of the pink horizon close its
eyes, I spotted the Fright Night billboard with it’s living-dead
freaks, ghosts and morbid ghouls, daring the brave to come
for the most horrifying fright night of life . A large flashing
arrow pointed downward with the words, “Where the road
starts.” As icy chills raced from my spine to the top of my
head I shuddered, and said, ,”You don’t really get it!”

It’s when the Spirit of Death
Stoops down in your face,
You’ve chosen your place of abode;
Your feet feel the heat
Of the place they call hell;
And you’ve come to the end of the road.

I thank God daily, for my one last chance.
