Tell all your cage driving friends to look twice, save a life! I have a feeling that spring is going to skip the Midwest and we will be going straight into summer. I don’t mind riding when its chilly or even cold, but come on rain, go away! In a couple weeks we will probably be in the 90’s and wishing for 70’s. I know there’s no one to blame, and all we can do is share our disgust of the weather. I know. I know. It’s the Midwest and I should be used to it and April showers brings May flowers… I’ll try to smell them when I’m doing 90 down the road… Over the past couple months we have proudly added some new advertisers for you to check out along with some new events in the calendar. Our list of favorite biker friendly places is getting larger. Good thing there are 31 days this month. On May 5th we are hosting 2 bike shows. One is at TJ’s Bar & Grill for their 25th Anniversary Party and the other is at Bourbeuse Valley H-D for the Spring event. John Thomas will be at TJ’s while Stacey and I will be at BVHD. We have never had two on the same day, but I have the utmost faith in our staff. As you know, Thunder Roads is all about supporting our troops and Veterans. That being said, I want to make sure you know that there is a benefit for Veterans in Need on May 19 that has two parts. The STL Midnight Riders kickoff the day with a ride from Detours Bar & Grill that ends at Tenbrook Station in Arnold, MO. The finale is a raffle of a trail motorcycle with all of the proceeds going to Veterans In Need. May 28th is Memorial Day. This is a day to remember all our heroes that are no longer with us. Without them, who knows what language we would be speaking… Whatever happens, remember, It’s all part of the experience… © THUNDER ROADS MAGAZINE. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
