Customer Appreciation Remember all those awesome spring days we had last month? Me neither… The expression “April Showers…” certainly dampens the expression “The show must go on”… Beth and her staff at Doc’s Harley-Davidson charged forward with their event and made sure their customers were treated to a great day. The event kicked off with the Red Cross Blood Drive hosted by Kirkwood HOG Chapter. With 35 online registrations and 55 walk ins, there were 48 usable donations collected by the end of the day. This result broke their collec- tion record from last year. Good job guys and gals! At noon the food booth opened with free BBQ for all. Even the light sprinkles of rain didn’t stop people from sitting at the picnic tables outside. The Threshold Band had a delayed start due to the wetness. Once they got started, they rocked the place with 70’s Rock ‘n Roll. In between the blood, food, and tunes, there were some great deals going on inside. As I was walking around talking with people, I noticed they had quite a few models in the showroom with limited edi- tion paint designs. The one that really caught my attention was the “Custom Boss Paint Set”. These two bikes with this blue and black design reminded me of the Boss Mustangs of the 70’s. There were 3 other unique paint sets that screamed awesomeness… Near the front door was the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation booth. On display was the Heritage Deluxe (sup- plied by Doc’s) that will be raffled off in October. All the pro- ceeds are going to finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes. Tickets are on sale at the dealership. Stop by and ask for Grace, or call Julie at 314-681-0074. To find out more about Doc’s, go to www.docsharleydavid- or find them on Facebook. Be sure to check out the 2nd Annual Phil Bruno Brotherhood Ride on May 20th. Thunder Roads Magazine 16
