Good Day to all!! Here’s what ABATE has got going so far.. Several of these we had filed for us and others are what the Reps and Senators did on their own. These are most of the ones ABATE has been following and supporting. Give lots of Kudo’s to Smokin Joe Widmer of FORR for takin this on also.. We always knew he was a bit touched??? Just kiddin Joe. LOL SB717 Hunting - Designates the first day for firearms deer season as a holiday Voted Do Pass General Law committee and is on Senate calendar. Since opening day is Saturday that would mean Friday would be the Holiday... Sorry Honey I’m off today. Ya goin with me?? Hmmmm Yeaaaaa!!! Ain’t that GREAT NEWS! ! ! ! Ohhh... Guess ya want ta know bout these too??? There are quite a few bills filed that are similar and these are the ones moving so far. We’re working on the Senate version of helmet bill since that’s where the main opposition has been. Once we clear that hurdle the House has told us no problems seen, we’re good!! Just gotta get it there... If you’ve noticed we didn’t file a Stop Profiling Bill this year. Is it happening -- Yes. Do we know for sure it’s happening -- Yes. Has anyone recorded proof of it and got that to us? Yea.. But only 1 incident has been reported. If you truly want a Profiling Bill filed so we can get ahead of this then YOU need to act. We need Who, When, Where and What happened. Without that we got no proof.. No Proof -- No Action... Got it?? Then get it!! As we progress several of these bills will be amended onto others so status gets confusing.. I’m reviewing a few more and will be updating later... Stay tuned.. This passed committee and has morphed into a large law enforcement bill. Lots of good language in here and will keep tracking it to making sure it stays on our good side.
