w o h C g o H By John Thomas We went to the annual Bikers on the Square in Perryville, MO and got a tip to check out a new place in town called Jackson Street Brewco. (106 N Jackson St, Perryville, MO 63775). Turns out, Jackson Street Brew Co (JSBC) is affiliated with Mary Jane Burgers and Brew next door. Note: we covered Mary Jane’s a couple of years ago in Hog Chow and MJ’s rocks. After hearing about this place, we had high hopes and were excited about checking it out. When we were there, we had the good fortune of having Lois as our server. She provided on the spot service, great advice and was just a ton of fun. I like to dish out a bit of banter but when someone throws it right back, I have complete respect for that. Well … that’s Lois. I’d also be failing you as a reader if I didn’t tell you that she is quite easy is on the eyes. After helping us with some beer tastings it was time to take our orders. Keith and Patti had Bavarian Pretzels as an appetizer and a pizza called an “All Day Pie”. Tookie had the “Not So Rueben”, Cheryl had the “Cubano” and I had a pizza they call the “Ulti-Meat-um Pie”. JSBC was a ton of fun. We all loved their beers and all of our food orders. Seriously, the hand tossed wood fired pizza is the … well you know ... it’s good. Our server Lois made everything that much better. We can’t wait to come back to see what another year un- der their belt does for them. Actually, I find it a bit hard to imagine how much they could improve on what they have now. Thunder Roads Magazine 24 Thunder Roads Magazine 25
