What’s up my brothers!?!
Hope all is going well for you and your families. I’m
trying to get home and get in some R&R time with
the wife...
This month we would like to honor all the military
men (and women) that have served and are serving
for our country! I would like to pay tribute to a guy
who comes from an extensive line of military men.
He is very patriotic and very proud of his family and
military roots. He will gladly tell you about how his
Grandfather Earl, who was a sergeant and a P.O.W
captured by the Germans... or about his dad Jerry,
who was a 3rd class mate in the Navy... and that his
uncles Earcell and Billy, who were sergeants in the
Vietnam war... and his uncle Andrew was an officer
in the Army... And, he will tell you proudly about
his brother Jonathan, who has been in the National
Guard protecting us for 13 years.
Our next Maritime Biker is Joe Wells, from
Houma, a rigger and welder at Dynamic Industries,
Inc., working 14 and 14, jumping from platform to
platform, wherever they need fixing... He’s a hard
worker, making that money for his home and taking
care of his family!
On his 14 off, the father of 5 works his butt off at
home too. A very devoted dude that loves spending
time with his kids, but... when he isn’t fixing
something in the house or even doing some mechanic
work on the side, he manages to squeeze in some
much-needed wind therapy with the other love of his
life, his 09 Harley Street Glide... Gotta ride when you
can...
He doesn’t have much time to join a club or devote
himself to anything away from spending time with
his wife Penny and his children, and to me, the best
place charity should start is at home. Spending time
with children and teaching them to grow up to be
strong, independent young adults should be the first
thing. Keep up the good work Joe! And thank you for
keeping them oil platforms going and thanks to your
family for their service!
