But whatever the weather, you can be rest assured that the “cages” out there are not looking for you. We hear every single day of a devastating accident, that 9 times out of 10 ends up in tragedy. Until recently it has not hit home like it did to us here at Thunder Roads on June 21, 2017. Two of our dearest friends were involved in an accident that scared us and rocked us to the core. I do not think we have ever been so shocked and dumbfounded when we heard the news… and of all places on face book. They survived, but with some ugly medical side effects. That is what inspired Andrew and I to talk about this in the editorial. I would like to address the people who post accidents, suicides, and other personal issues on face book. It was not an easy thing to see when it involved two of the most important and loved people in my life. So please think before you post... Maybe that person’s family has not been contacted yet about their loved ones accident or God forbid the loss of that loved ones life. In short, it’s not your job to report the morbid details or announcement on social media... think about the family. Would you want your family to find out you were injured, maimed, or even killed on face book?? Think about that. And please think before you post someone else’s business. Please don’t be an irrespeonsible Facebook junkie! Until next… time remember where there are bikes there is going to be thunder! Andrew and Renee R.I.P. to all our brothers and sisters who lost the ride. And the next time you see a member of our military take a moment to thank them for protecting our freedom. God bless all of you, and a special love to our veterans!
