LONDON "DEELISH" CHARLES  We are making our darker women feel ugly, our thinner women feel invisible, and our thicker women feel obese. We need to embrace all of our women for whatever sizes they are, and love them for the skin they are in, rather than recreating them into cartoon fetishes and caricatures of womanhood. Tamon "Complete Gentleman" Pearson www.facebook.com/TamonPearson Tamon Pearson--also known as Black men, stop commenting on the size of women's breasts and bottoms, especially around your daughters. What they see you like, they will attempt to become. Take responsibility for the women in your life and give them the affirmations that they need. Before they even get out there--and while our women are there, now-- make them feel beautiful, intelligent, and strong. That way, they build up the strength and courage to tell the Harvey Weinsteins of the world that they can go to Hell. Let them say, "me too" and "times up." We as black men need to say "us first." The Complete Gentleman--is the founder of YBG (Yeshua's Black Gentlemen) Ministries and the expositor of The Real G Code. He is a teacher, an entrepreneur, an author, a licensed minister, a Black activist, a counselor, and-- as a firm advocate for hip-hop culture--an emcee. He is married to his high school sweetheart, and they have six children and three grandchildren. SEPTEMBER 2018 • THRIVE | 52
