 man of God to love us.  Does my husband cook at times...yes.  Do I take out trash...yes.  We do what needs to be done to make the home and our lives run as smoothly as possible.  He does domestic work and I work on my career.  Our balance isn't based on..."because you're a woman...you do 'x,y,z'"...it's based on what needs to be done to keep things us moving forward as a family. Q: Sports… do we watch?play? Is there a family team? A: John and Bethynie bond over sports and have their rivalries and watch games but there’s no official family team. Q: On a scale of 1-10 when it comes to Faith, Education and Blackness how important are each of these within your family? A: They are all a 10 without question; extremely important Q: What are you thoughts on the state of the Black Family in America today? A: It's dying.  As a society...we focus on the negative when it comes to black families.  Society wants the world to believe that beautiful, strong, thriving black families do not exist; that black men always leave their children/families...make children everywhere.  Does this exist? Yes.  But are there MANY black families THRIVING...SUCCESSFUL and filled with love?  YES.  We are one of them.  We are committed to showing our children a loving, healthy relationship through our example.  Are we perfect?
