A Spiritual Handbook for the Modern Era explores life stages and common difficulties that may arise at these times, offering discernment on coping with such diverse areas as bullying, pregnancy termination, depression and ageing. Living the spiritual life is encompassed in one chapter as is Nature, the world as it is and looking forward. The book is useful for anyone 14 and above, and for those younger if interpreted by an adult as there are adult only topics. Each page explores a different idea hopefully helping readers reach greater peace and harmony within their lives as they move forward with optimism. The book is available through www.zeus-publications.com or on Amazon or can be ordered through book stores.

We are now up to farm or house-sit number 10. Had no plan to keep doing it but people still want us to and it gives us freedom to do other things. We have a little house rented out and Shayne works on farms. We are going to be here near Albury for another year and then plan to do a long distance journey along Australia’s great river, the Murray, with a gypsy wagon pulled by our horses Dusty and Duke. Banjo and Bonnie will tag along and my cat, Whispit, and Shayne’s blue talkative parrot, Teuco.

Painting wise I am thinking of doing a series of paintings based on the book with the view of an exhibition next winter. Each painting will have a different theme such as creativity, play or meditation.

A quote from page 94 of A Spiritual Handbook for the Modern Era - “To care for the soul requires oneness with God, meditation, prayer, simplicity, appreciation and love of self, others, animals, all of nature and God,”. Another from page 43, “At this stage you may tend to rush into life at full force wanting to taste all it has to offer with gusto but remember balance – through diet, exercise, limiting undesirable substances and nurturing your spiritual life. Balance gives equanimity to your soul, enhancing your spiritual journey”.
