This family-friendly production will be sure to enchant people of all ages with the famous story of Alad- din and his adventures with Jasmine, Jafar, Genie, the magic lamp and the magic carpet, as he navigates his way through castles and caves of wonder. Audiences will be treated to gorgeous sets and costumes and wonderful spe- cial effects, including the return of their dancers flying across the stage with ZFX Flying Effects. South Georgia Ballet’s graduating seniors will be in the lead roles. Abby Chapman, attending University of Georgia in the fall, will be the lovable street rat, Aladdin. Mason Wilson, at- tending University of Virginia, will be Princess Jasmine. Mary Cate Bazal, attending Georgia College, will delight as the impressive Genie of the lamp. And Kianna Ross, attending Spelman College, will be the sorcerer, Jafar. “Kianna is the first Step Up student to graduate the company and we are so proud to have seen amazing talent and work-ethic in all of our seniors,” says Melissa June, Artistic Director.
