PEOPLE : KIDS THESE DAYS
With a background in acting , where the world of auditions and shoots leaves little time to be wasted , it ’ s clear that Drew ( 14 ) expects a timely response out of his apps and devices . When asked about platforms like Facebook and Twitter , once thought to be the most influential platform options in social media , he acknowledges that they ’ re best used for self-promotion .

!

Even with Instagram Drew said , “ I used to post everyday … Then it got annoying .” And as ads pervade the social aspect of these platforms , a window of opportunity has been opened for apps like SnapChat and Kik , which are still discovering the best ways to leverage advertising components , leaving their users feeling that they achieved a higher quality of “ interaction .”

Despite being 14 , and not a particular fan of fashion , he seems totally aware of himself as a consumer . Compared to the previous generation that ’ s able to sit and browse the internet for hours , Drew ’ s attitude is one that is focused on meeting specific needs ; doing everything with
 a purpose .

Which , in a way , is the same thing Hipsters and Punks both did when they first introduced the looks over the course of the last three or more decades .

That ’ s what intrigued us most about both of these teens – with our focus on fashion and tech , it ’ s crazy to consider the general maturity that each showed when it came to fashion , and their ability to avoid the tech conventions of having the newest and latest device . In fact , the personal computer , a freedom-inducing gateway of escape for teens right behind the driver ’ s license , has nearly come and gone . Drew went as far as to say , “ I rarely use my computer … I use it for school , or I have an app for it .”
