WELCOME TO THE INAUGURAL ISSUE OF THIRD WAVE MAGAZINE . I ’ m thrilled to be sharing it with you !
!
Third Wave Fashion has been your fashion tech think tank since 2011 . For about the last year and a half , we published private monthly reports about fashion tech and wearables for our clients . After a while , we started to see the content from those private reports start to leak out across the web – people were compelled to share what they found . And I loved that .
!
So , we decided to re-imagine how we could spread the information that people were finding so exciting .
!
Why a magazine ? Print is not dead , and it never will be – just like stores will never disappear and we ’ ll always want to spend time with each other face-to-face . We just have to re-imagine how print ( and stores ) can best serve the new ways we live today .
!
This issue of chock-full of fashion tech + wearable tech goodness . We are beside ourselves to get to introduce you to so many awesome people , to share such compelling ideas , and to reflect back on some of the fabulousness that is going on out there .
!
I ’ m so proud of what we ’ re doing , and I hope you love it !

1 . MOTOROLA X

I ’ m technology agnostic . I like to try it all … for my job , of course . My latest phone is a Motorola X that I customized with my last name and accented with Third Wave Fashion ’ s purple . I ’ m a fan of both the phone itself ( every phone should be available in curved bamboo ), and the software . I love being able to wave my hand in front of the screen to view my notifications , and the phone ’ s assistant ( which I named Agador ) beats Siri at her own game .
