SMART WIGS AND MOOD BRAS
Welcome to the future, home of the Sony
SmartWig and Microso Mood Bra. No, they
aren’t flying cars, but these two very real products
could point to the future of wearable health tech.
ough the SmartWig and the Mood Bra are
basically gimmicks, they’re also brilliant. With the
patents that Sony and Microso hold from the two
projects, wearable EEGs and EKGs could soon be
on the horizon of commercial health tech.

THE GIF GIVING SEASON
Animated GIFs are nothing new, but they found
prominence in the 2013 online culture. With
that in mind, and the holiday window shopping
competition of the NYC heavy hitters, Barneys
took their look to a whole new level. Instead of
the general gi guide, the company turned to a
gif guide to provide customers a new version of
online window shopping.

GAP’S INSTACAMPAIGN
Instagram’s debut of Instagram Direct had a lot
of people scratching their heads, wondering if
this was just a sad attempt to compete with
snapchat, but Gap provided an answer. Within
hours of the debut, Gap invited followers to
participate in a “What I Wore Today” challenge
using Instagram Direct to find the 15 best looks
from the Gap faithful. Considering the influence
that consumer generated content can have,
Instagram Direct may simply be a smarter way
to connect with your brand’s followers on
Instagram.
