no understanding at all. I would even say that the communication channels are not better than they were over a decade or two ago. Independently, the vendors, INTEL and users have changed in many ways, but there is no intersection at all. In this market where motherboard vendors are struggling to release products that are in any meaningful way different from each other, such a CPU would at the very least allow competitiveness via Bclk overclocking or better memory clocking specifically for these CPUs. On the opposite side, vendors could be competing in the number of features or connectivity options that can be put into a sub $130 motherboard for instance.
