Who’s it for?
Bel Ombre is perfect for learning
to kitesurf. It really doesn’t
matter when the wind fills in as
your hotel is right next door so
you can enjoy your facilities and
just head out when it suits. The
team at the center here also offer
downwinders for all skill levels
(including beginners) so you can
discover a bit more of Mauritius
with your kite – a completely
unique adventure!
The highlights
Bel Ombre has it all. The center
is located within the C Beach Club
at the Heritage Hotel with all the
facilities one would expect from
a 5 star hotel. A stunning pool,
restaurant and water sports center
are located on the same site and
the changing rooms and facilities
easily surpass those on offer at
any other center on the island.
This is really a place you can
spend the entire day and friends
and family members can enjoy the
time with you.
Where to stay
With the center located right
within the Heritage Hotel, you
don’t need to look any further
to find the perfect place to stay.
Heritage Le Telfair is the luxury
side of this sprawling resort
complex, located the closest to
the kitesurfing center. For those
looking for an amazing value-for-
money getaway with great food,
the Outrigger is just next to
the Heritage and the KiteGlobing
team will pick you up from their
jetty if you have a lesson booked
with them.
Top tip
As the wind can be a bit fluky, be
sure to pack a range of kites.
If you have the right size kite
you won’t be disappointed if the
wind is too light or too strong
during your time here. However if
you did leave your stuff at home,
the center does has over 120 of
the latest kites in stock should
you need to rent.
