Jessica Hylton-Leckie - Feature
Jessica wakes up , quickly checks social media and her emails to ensure that nothing is burning down and that there isn ’ t a reader with an emergency question . She then meditates , exercises , has breakfast ( which of course has to be featured on her IG stories ) and then checks on her garden . After that it ’ s straight into emails and “ computer work ”, which can take anywhere from 30 minutes to do a quick check , up to 5 hours depending on the tasks in the email . Emails can consist of anything from reader questions , client propositions , brand emails , emails from other colleagues in the field for collaborations or queries and press information . She then schedules her social media for the day and checks in with her virtual assistant if necessary .
Jessica believes that learning something new each day is a key factor of being an entrepreneur . She schedules in time to learn something new by either watching a documentary on Netflix while having breakfast , a TED talk , listening or reading a new book , or taking part in an online webinar .
