Tenique Designs is a jewelry company geared toward persons who are classy, sophisticated and most importantly unique.
Most accessories are designed for everyday wearing, but at the same time can be used to accentuate any outfit for any
occasion. Each piece has a unique design and Teniquesters (persons who wear Tenique Designs jewelry) can expect to
see no one else in their jewelry. All accessories are designed and handmade by the owner Nicolette Simms.
Where can women purchase Tenique Designs?
Accessories designed by Tenique Designs can be purchased from the fashion shows and events that we are a part of and
a few select pieces can be found at the Tampa Premium Outlets (4 The Diva In You). Our online store (www.teniquede-
signs.com) will be re-opened very shortly, and will allow Teniquesters to shop online at their convenience.
How do you stand out?
One important feature about shopping with Tenique Designs is that you can order customized pieces for any occasion.
Tenique Designs recently started designing jewelry for children as well as men.
How did you start?
Tenique Designs (formerly Tenaj Designs) started back in 2011, when I (President/Designs (Nicolette Simms a.k.a Nico-
lette Satchell) was employed at Sagicor Bank Jamaica. Initially I wanted to make jewelry for myself because I thought
costume jewelry was too expensive in stores. My manager at the time (Movelette Edwards) encouraged me to sell my
jewelry. Employee and friends would regularly purchase and even place custom orders for events they were attending.
In 2013, I migrated to Tampa, Florida and still continued to pursue my entrepreneurial endeavors. I quickly became im-
mersed in the fashion industry, and had my jewelry on the runway for the first time. Haute Accessories Week is the only
accessories fashion show in Tampa and occurs every year in September. Since 2013 Tenique Designs has been present at
Haute Accessories Week. This year, Tenique Designs will be there for the 5th year, and we intend to make it a memora-
ble experience.
