Your boat is
moored in an offshore cove, with rope attached to a
beach-side pine. On one side of the
boat water turns to turquoise as a
fresh water-springs bubble up to the
surface. On the other, mussles and
oysters cling to a rock which shelves
downward through shades from azure
to cobalt….a rainbow of blues.

The traditional Turkish Mediterranean
boat is the gulet … a wide timbered
sailing boat.
Below deck are double cabins, a living
area, and galley. Above there is ample
space to move around on deck or slip
up onto the wheel house roof for extra
sun and scenery.
While on board; fish, swim, windsurf,
sunbathe, read in the shade and move
from mooring to mooring, sometimes
leaving the boat to visit an old
monument or eat out at a shore-side
restaurant…bliss.
