I'm Sick

I’m sick

I constantly seek validation from others because deep down inside, I’ve convinced myself I’m not good enough.

I’m sick

I blame others for problems that I’ve caused because my fragile ego can’t take another hit.

I’m sick

Every night I stay awake because, as soon as I drift off to sleep, every regret that I ignore when I’m awake will hunt me down in my dreams.

I’m sick

I hurt those whom I love the most because I’m too narrow-minded to realize that sometimes, I’m absolutely wrong.

I’m sick

I constantly push my problems on others because I’m nowhere near strong enough to deal with them on my own.

I’m sick

I look back at all the mistakes I’ve made and scream. Every single one of them could’ve been avoided if I had made the right choice.

I’m sick

Even when everything’s filled with sunshine, I still feel this constant feeling of crushing doubt that plagues me endlessly.

I’m sick

I drift through some days without a thought because some little part of me has completely given up.

I’m sick

But, I’m also human.

So what can I do about it?
