Wednesday Racing Report 2014 - 2015
By Brian Ellis
Over the last season there were a lot of
light weather days, but still most boats
finished due to the race officers shortening
course at the right time.
Competition over the four divisions was
close on point scores, thanks to close
handicapping. Division 4 had a big
increase in numbers thanks to the
Couta boats.
For the 2014-15 season there has been
more races added to the Wednesday
program, with more races available to sail.
Courses have been adjusted at some
rounding marks.

The 2015 Waterford Trophy series is being sailed from June through to August. The
added bonus of good racing is the free sausage sandwich after the race, cooked by
the Chef in winter and by rostered yacht crews in summer. Always a good way to
resail the race and spin yarns.
Members are invited to race on Wednesdays, no excuses not to enjoy competitive
and social racing almost all year round (50 weeks of the year).
