BAYVIEW GOLF CLUB WITH 72 RPAYC MEMBERS
T
he annual RPAYC Golf Challenge was
played on Friday 21 October at Bayview
Golf Club with 72 members and their
guests enjoying a perfect day of golf.
The four ball Ambrose format allowed
experienced, and not so experienced, golfers to compete
for the Trophy and many prizes on an equal footing.
Registration together with a breakfast of tea, coffee,
juice, cereal, fruit and yoghurt and toast for all began at
7 o’clock.
The course was in excellent condition with new
additions to several holes, to give competitors some new
challenges on the day.
All teams teed off from the 1st and 12th tee, and
headed off round the course. Fun and games for all with
lots of challenges, with straightest drives, and nearest the
pin prizes on offer.
A major prize donated by the Bayview Pro Neil Rolfe,
of an hour long session at the New Indoor Golf Centre
attracted a lot of attention with an inspection of the
facility prior to hit off by many teams.
After four hours of play the players gathered in the
club house at 1.30 for a great lunch, a few drinks and the
prize giving.
An array of great prizes, lunch vouchers from the
RPAYC, Golf Lessons, rum, champagne, wine, golf gear
and golf balls awaited the winners.
