NH Hotel Group Responsible growth The Company’s commitment to maintaining growth with all its stakeholders, contributing to the Group’s sustainable development, has made it possible to integrate responsible business management into economic, social and environmental policies, with the aim of being the benchmark for Corporate Social Responsibility in the sector. In the last twelve years, NH Hotel Group has been developing a charitable initiative through various foundations and non-governmental organisations, donating almost 22,000 rooms to low-income families with seriously sick children or teenagers hospitalised far from home. This programme, called “Hotels with a heart”, was recognised in the “Best Sustainable Development and Corporate Responsibility Incentive” category at the Worldwide Hospitality Awards in Paris, in recognition of the work done by over 2,000 employees who get involved every year as volunteers. In terms of the environment, NH Hotel group received the Soho Eco Eficiciencia award in the “Economic sustainability” category, for use of energy management tools which work with improvement of the system, and for inclusion of installations with a proven high level of energy efficiency. And more recently, in London, the Company received the Business Travel award for the “Best upper upscale brand” for its NH Collection brand. These awards will be handed out in 2016 for their 21st year, and are awarded in recognition of the success achieved by the leading players in the international business travel industry.
