38 the World Of Hospitality NH Hotel Group NH Hotel Group, The Winning Hotel Chain In Europe And Latin America For NH Hotel Group, 2016 has kicked off with satisfaction at being rewarded for its excellence in all areas of business, not just thanks to the growth in figures but also thanks to the many and varied awards picked up during 2015. The Company’s successful business performance, its firm commitment to using cutting-edge technology applied to the “Meeting & Events” segment and its corporate social responsibility programme “Hotels with a heart” are at the top of a long list of activities which have now been rewarded, validating the route taken by NH Hotel Group since it launched its strategic transformation plan in 2014. Successful business performance Two years after the launch of this plan, which has enabled the Company to evolve from a management model to one of leadership, the Group has recently been recognised for its work with the award for Best Global Hotel Chain at the Worldwide Hospitality Awards. This award is given to the international hotel chain which, in the previous year, has stood out among the 50 biggest hotel chains worldwide for its business performance excellence. NH Hotel Group also picked up the 2015 Company of the Year award, given by FEDECOM, the Federation of Official Chambers of Commerce in Spain, Africa, Asia and Oceania. Presented to the Company by Mariano Rajoy, President of the Government in Spain, this award recognises the work done by NH Hotel Group in promoting the globalization of the Company and its commitment to service excellence. In addition, FECECA, the Federation of Official Spanish Chambers of Commerce in America, awarded the Company a prize for its commitment to growth in Latin America, coinciding with the international introduction of NH Hotel Group in Colombia.
