The Williamsonian Winter 2016 | Page 12

12 with a friend, passed out, and died. I got a card and phone call concerning a Williamson alumni directory being published. This comes from the publisher. I assume this is a fund-raiser of sorts for the school. I’m about done with Christmas preparations, cards mailed, decorations up, etc. The card list gets shorter each year. The family doesn’t grow much anymore and friends are getting fewer. This is a result of living longer than expected. Trust all is well with you and classmates. 12-19-2015 Received a call from Dick Weaver. He said there aren’t very many of our class left. He thought that three were left from the carpentry shop. He had talked to Charles Sarbaugh. 12-24-2015 Received a letter from Joseph Petree: Wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Steve, Eileen, Jeff, and Dawn gave us a 60th wedding anniversary party in October. Does not seem we have been marred 60 years, but we have had good ones. Steve is the only one of the boys that bagged a deer. First time in 50 years I didn’t get one. Jeff and grandson Joey (15-yearsold) saw them in archery season, but they were too far away. We are doing OK; slowly getting around with pain and discomfort. Wishing you all the best moving into your new quarters, “Living Branches Dock Woods.” It will be a change for you, but under the circumstances the best thing. Best to my classmates and a Happy Healthy New Year to all. 12-23 L
